Though we have fallen in Adam, and have been filled with condemnation and shame, King Jesus has sought us out! He has come to restore our lives. To bring us from a state of shame and nakedness to a state of righteousness clothed in glory. He has come to make its king’s kids. To adopt us into His family. He has given us a seat at His table and wants us to continually feast with Him and on Him. When we come to Christ solely on the basis of His goodness and grace, our identity changes from one filled with shame to one filled with joy, ready to walk in loyal love to Him.

THE BOOK OF PROVERBS (PART 2)

Join us for our Bible Study as we dive into the first two chapters of Proverbs. We will look at the importance of loving Wisdom and rejecting the crowd, the ways of the world, and the immoral woman. We will also see that as we hold fast to the words of wisdom we have divine protection and preservation over our life.

One theme woven throughout Scripture is that God carries His people in His hands. God says, “Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you!” (Isaiah 46:4) Jesus declared concerning His sheep, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:28). Join us as we begin a new series on Proverbs for our Wednesday Bible Study! Tonight is an introduction to Proverbs. What a ‘proverb' is. Who the authors of Proverbs are. What the structure of Proverbs teaches us. What the primary theme of Proverbs is. How we are to approach the various styles of poetry that undergird the different types of proverbs in the book. How Solomon’s life is connected to the book. And ultimately how the church applied Proverbs to their own living and growth in godliness. This truly is a RICH BOOK OF WISDOM what will greatly benefit all who will spend time with it!

THE POWERFUL PRAYER OF JABEZ

 

Tucked inside the long genealogical records of Chronicles is small but mighty prayer! By a man named Jabez. A name that means "pain." Though this man's life was full of pain he did not allow his past to define him. Rather, he turned to God in faith! He turned to God in prayer! And God blessed him in a BIG TIME way. Join us as we seek to incorporate truths from Jabez's story and prayer into our own life and prayers. Let's believe God together for our lives to be a signpost of His mighty blessing as we journey into the new year!

The Birth of the King, Pt 2 The Son of David

The angel Gabriel said this concerning the baby who would be conceived in Mary’s womb, “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end” (Luke 1:32-33). Join us as we unpack more truths of what it means for Jesus to be the Son of David, the New and Greater Solomon, who will reign forever and ever!

LET THE WORD DWELL IN YOU RICHLY

The book of Colossians instructs us, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Col. 3:16). Join us this Sunday as we worship the Lord and see how this verse comes alive in many different ways in the Christmas Story! Especially in the lives of Mary, Zechariah, and the heavenly angelic host!

PAUL’S LAST WORDS - 2 TIMOTHY (PART 4)

n the last chapter of 2 Timothy Paul encourages his beloved son in the faith to be a steady influence of godly doctrine and living amidst the crooked world. He knows his “departure” to heaven is at hand and he looks forward the “crown of righteousness” he will receive upon crossing the finish line. At the end of the letter Paul highlights 16 different individuals who were either headed in a positive or negative direction in life. This chapter can shed much light on our own life and walk with the Lord. Let’s run in the direction where we will be able to say with Paul, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith!” (1 Tim. 4:7)
