She ends by saying, "Yes, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend" (Song of Songs 5:16). Is Jesus 'altogether lovely' to you? Is He your 'beloved' and your 'friend'? Does Jesus excite your soul like He excites the soul of His bride in Song of Songs chapter five?

We will be discovering how Christ responds to His beloved Bride when she becomes lazy or lukewarm like the Laodiceans. While the bride sleeps, the Song says concerning Christ, “He knocks, saying, ‘Open for me, my sister, my love, My dove, my perfect one’” (Song of Songs 5:2). Sweet words of love drip from the mouth of our LORD! He desires constant communion with us! Let us open the doors of our heart wider to Him today!

After extolling the church’s beauty and saying, “You are altogether beautiful, my love; and there is no spot in you”, Christ goes on to say, “You have RAVISHED my heart with one look of your eyes.” He then describes the church as a beautiful and fruitful ‘secret garden’ with ‘hidden springs’ throughout. A picture of being made fruitful by the gift of His Spirit. Christ is head over heels in love with you and me! We must allow His love and Spirit to anchor every aspect of our being. Join us as we worship.

He describes seven of her features that He finds wondrous and ends by saying that she is “altogether beautiful” (Song of Songs 4:7). It is so important to view ourselves the way Christ views us! Join us as we worship our Majestic Bridegroom together and sink the roots of our lives deeper into His infinite and immeasurable love!
