P PAUL’S LAST WORDS — 2 TIMOTHY (PART 1)

At the end of Paul's life he is imprisoned in Rome, again. This time he is not in a rented house with many visitors every day, but rather in a hard to find prison with very few visitors, and very poor conditions. Knowing his death is near, he writes one final letter to his beloved son in the faith, Timothy. Paul was not swayed in purpose or faith, for he knew the One in whom he had believed, and he poured out his heart in this final letter encouraging the next generation of Christians to continue to carry the torch of the faith. Join us as we dive into the first chapter of this powerful letter!

ABOVE ALL, CLOTHE YOURSELVES WITH LOVE

Joseph is a wonderful example of someone who was rooted and grounded in the love of the Father.  He knew who he was as the beloved son. And he was transformed by that love! No matter what he went through, understanding his identity helped him through every trial and relational hardship. Let us learn to gladly embrace the robe of the Father’s love that Joseph did. As Paul teaches, "Above all, clothe yourselves with love” (Col. 3:14). 

THE LIFE OF PAUL AFTER ACTS (PART 1)

The book of Acts does not include the story of the end of Paul's life. Yet, we can piece together what the end of his life looked like from eight of his letters. While under house arrest for two years in Rome he kept on praying, kept on planning, kept on meeting, kept on writing, and kept on dreaming. He knew there was more in the tank for him. He had not finished his race yet. Join us as we look at the final missionary journey of Paul after bearing witness before Nero and learn valuable lessons as we seek to "finish the race" of our own lives.

ACTS (PART 52) — PROCLAIMING THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS WITH CONFIDENCE!

The book of Acts concludes with Paul teaching in the city of Rome for two whole years. He was "preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him" (Acts 28:31). The prisoner got to preach and teach at the center of the Roman Empire about the true King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ. Amazing! May we have the same confidence and courage that Paul had to preach this good news of great joy of the Risen and Reigning King Jesus to our world! May we be “Acts 29” Christians as God continues to write His story through us!

ACTS (PART 51) — AND SO WE CAME TO ROME!

 

The book of Acts ends with Paul's travels through Sicily and Italy, and his ultimate arrival in Rome. A city he had "longed to see" for many years (Rom. 1:11). Upon initially arriving there Paul has multiple meetings with both the Christians who already resided there, as well as the leading Jews. In fact, Paul had an all day seminar explaining Jesus from the law and prophets! He had not lost his zeal even at the end of his life for his Lord and Savior. In fact, his zeal just burned brighter! Join us as we worship and dive into the word!

ACTS (PART 50) — MIRACULOUS MINISTRY ON MALTA!

After miraculously surviving a shipwreck, the apostle Paul found himself on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere. It is here he and the entire shipwrecked crew would spend their winter. Though still a prisoner, nothing slowed down Paul’s witness! The natives of the island, and even his fellow crew, would witness many mighty miracles take place! Join us as we dive into exactly what these miracles were and are encouraged that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

ACTS (PART 49) — SAVED THROUGH SHIPWRECK!

During Paul's long sea voyage to Rome he encountered a massive storm called 'Euroclydon' that pushed the boat out into darkness in the midst of a stormy sea for 14 days. In the middle of that chaos God sent an angel to tell Paul that he and the entire crew with him would be saved. Yet, there would still be a shipwreck! How are we supposed to respond in the midst of a shipwreck?How does God preserve His people in shipwreck? Join us and find out!

ACTS (PART 48) — OVERCOMING THE STORMS OF LIFE!

At the end of Acts there is a long story of Paul’s sea voyage to Rome. The boat Paul is on is met head on by a giant windstorm called ‘Euroclydon’. It pushes the boat out into the middle of sea where they are adrift in darkness for 14 days! All the crew members completely lose hope and begin to despair of life! Ever been in a situation like that? Join us to see how Paul responds and how God intervenes!

ACTS (PART 47) — THE GOSPEL IS THE POWER OF GOD!

As Paul concludes his witness before King Agrippa in Acts 26, the Governor Festus interrupts Paul crying out, “Much learning is driving you mad!” (Acts 26:24) When we truly believe and live out the claims of the Gospel, many in the world will perceive us as ‘mad men’, as ‘fools’. Though “the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing” (1 Cor. 1:18a, at the same time, “to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (1 Cor. 1:18b). It is also a message that is “truthful” and “reasonable” (Acts 26:25). Join us as we worship and conclude looking at Paul’s powerful testimony before governors and kings!
