In the second and third chapter of Revelation Jesus makes clear that He has perfect vision of what is happening in the church in every city! Like a priest walking in the temple and tending the lamp stands so they would continue to shine brightly, Jesus encourages the churches in what they are doing right, and lovingly brings correction to things that they are doing wrong. He is the Chief Shepherd over His Church, our Head Pastor and Great High Priest. As we listen to Him, and follow His instruction, we will shine like the bright new creation people He has made us to be!
