In the second chapter of Revelation Jesus makes clear that He has perfect insight into what is happening in every church. Like a priest walking in the temple and tending the lampstands so they would continue to shine brightly, Jesus encourages the churches in what they are doing right, and lovingly brings correction to things that they are doing wrong. Jesus is the Chief Shepherd over His Church, and as we listen to Him, and follow His instruction, we will shine like the bright new creation people He has made us to be!
